A couple updates. We are back on the bus. Monticello was awesome, but
I am a little bumed that I couldn't take pictures inside. At 7:45
eastern we will be stopping for dinner at ryans buffet. It is 5 now so
we will be watching movies on the bus. We are also traveling through
the mountains so it is both a. Rural and b. Hilly (that's a given.)
after dinner the eta will be posted.

We have figured out a new system for packing - all of bloomingtons
gear is placed on the first bus, with Peoria on two and three. By
doing this, we save confusion and time when getting off the bus.

Our charter bus is on it's way to our campsite! It was parked here at
jamboree in a locked location for the duration of our awesome stay
here, and the drivers took a van back to Illinois. We were not the
only council to use Peoria Charter Coach, it turns out that both a
southern Illinois and a rural Missouri council hired the same company!

Because Troop 1035 was missing in action (maybe went for a walk?), we
decided to clean their campsite for them. We found many treasures like
tent stakes, sun glasses, and star fun patches.

It has been an interesting night. We were harshly awaken by the sound
of rain. In order to fit our entire troop back into the fly, we had to
break down our cots and mattresses (previously two patrols were
staying about 250 feet away in a fancy striped green tent. We then
fell back asleep and awoke at 6 again. Right on our normal schedule, I
just wish we were following this time pattern. We all then took
showers (showering outside in the rain is fun!) and ate breakfast. It
was beef jerky, muffins, cereal bars, fruit cups and juice.

Our closing central region arena show. National Jamboree is divided up
into 5 regions - Central, West, Northeast, Southern, and Eastern?
(don't quote me on that :D ) each region has a stage with tons of
entertainment every night ranging from a Militia Band to air force
drill team to a robotics competition (another free tshirt!) - tonight
is the final night so they are introducing the staff followed by a
talent competition.

I had to charge my iPhone, turns out the battery life isn't that
great. A quick update on what has happened lately. - Its looked a
little like rain, but it definitely will go around us. Everyone is
tearing their action centers down, as the day is over. (That means
free stuff!!! I got a couple cool National Guard T-shirts :D ) right
now we are taking our camp apart, the picture is of the gateway. We
are waiting for the truck for gear. We also have a special surprise
for sleeping arangements tonight!

Today's Jamboree Today focuses on a legacy. Today is the last day of
activities on Fort AP Hill forever. Today is when I figure out how
many times I can use the word Today in one blog post :) However, this
is something bigger than any of that that is brewing. The Summit.
10,600 acres. $300 million to develop. Hundreds of miles of fiber
optics. and the first place the Boy Scouts of America National Scout
Jamboree can call home.

We are finishing up the night with a Patrol Leaders Conference, and
staying HYDRATED!!! It is a essential part of the Jamboree to drink
water; however it has stayed under 76 degrees for most of Jamboree
(unlike Illinois - which I have heard is going to be really hot
tommorow) we will be heading to bed soon, we will all need plenty of
sleep for the last full day tomorrow!!!
